Stian Norum Herlofsen

Ulvang ambassador and professional photographer

Hi, my name is Stian Norum Herlofsen!

I am 22 years old and spend much of my time photography, including photos of landscapes and animals. Originally from Bjørkelangen in Aurskog-Høland, but currently I take a bachelor's degree in technology design and management at NTNU in Gjøvik.

I bought my first camera at the age of 13 and since then, the passion for capturing and experiencing the magical moments has constantly become a major part of my life. As long as I can remember, I've always been busy and happy to be in nature. In the spring I travel on a ture and a bird of prey in my area. In the winter, the trip to Trysil, the place where I might enjoy it best, goes fast. Much of my spare time I spend outdoors and traveling.

Every summer in recent years I have traveled to the Finnish Russian border. Here I work with close-ups of bears, wolves and other wild predators. The cruelty to nature fascinates me very much! The kick you get after photographing a wild bear few meters outside the photo hide cannot be described.

Through my pictures I want to show my passion for photos of moments with wild animals and Norway's beautiful nature. As a nature photographer, there is often a lot of waiting and freezing. Therefore, I always have with me the Ulvang amber sweater and amber pants on tour. When something happens first, it is important for me to stay focused and at the same time enjoy the moments and not think about freezing.
