Wash and care!
We receive many inquiries from desperate customers who have washed their products incorrectly. How should wool be washed?
- All our products can be machine washed on wool programs. Inside the product it is stated how high the temperature the product can withstand, usually 30 or 40 degrees.
- Do not fill the washing machine more than one third full.
- Use detergent intended for wool. The enzymes in common detergent will damage the wool fibers over time.
- Do not put woolen clothes in the dryer. Lightweight wool garments such as jerseys, longsheets and socks are commonly hung on the drying rack, while heavy garments such as thick sweaters and trousers should be wiped flat so as not to lose shape.
Did you know you don't need to wash wool unless there are stains on your clothes? Mostly it hangs wool for aeration, often outdoors. Then you save time and the environment.
